light for coraline

I think it will work as well. I thought I had heard someone mention at one time that Coralline does not need intense light to grow well.

Regards,

Pat

if this helps, i cured live rock in a tub with a agro light (plant light60watts)from wall mart on for 4 hours a day for five weeks with no coralline loss

Thanks guys.
This bulb is only 40 watt, I just wanted to be sure that there was no wattage or anything I that I deff needed to keep the coraline alive. Itll prolly be a few weeks maybe a month before I get my lights. I just wanted to keep the coraline alive until then. At the same time i dont want ot pass the rock up either
Thanks again

Go to WAL-MART you can get true sunlight compact fluorescents from lights of america that will plug in to a standard light, and run a 6500K 100watt and I have two of them on my 20gal and I have mushrooms, palythoa,Endive Hydnophora, leather Coral, and my coraline is great.

That light will fit into a reg tank top ballast, plus i figured 20 bucks was cheap enough for a temp solution until i get my new lighting.
