Light Intensity Effect

All things being equal and assuming the following parameters, what will increased lighting intensity do...
Nitrates <5
Phosphates <.05
Ca = 450
kH = 8

Using Radions on a modified AB program (just added a bit more white)

Will corals brown or bleach at higher intensities?

Some sps corals will get more intense colors and grow faster. Others will shut down metabolically and slow their growth considerably from photoinhibition. It just depends from specimen to specimen

White doesn't really do anything for corals. And if you have the G4 pro be careful with that light it's very powerful

If the light is high quality, the corals will thrive under more light. If the light is not high quality, then then can burn and suffer especially with hot spots from diodes.

I grew colonies into canteloupe sizes under the sun one summer in Missouri from 1" frags. The system shared water with my main system (the only way that I could keep it cool) and the frags inside got to like baseball size under MH.

In my whole reefing time, adding more halides, VHO or T5 just meant adding more growth and color (except for the true deepwaters which still grew fast, but lightened up a bit).
