I saw this light for sale on ebay if anyone is interested. Has anyone purchased on of tghem? I've seen them myself but I rather opt for a 10k bulb rather then the 20k's ...

I'd be curious myself to how these work, seems more like a grow light to me then for the fish tanks...

I thought the same thing. Can a 400watt bulb be run from a standard 3 prong wall socket? I was reading the feedback from people who have purchased the light. Most are happy with it.

It seems like a typical MH pendant. Of course a 400W bulb can run on a typical wall socket. The white box in the fixture is the ballast. That determines the wattage going to the bulb. It doesn't say what kind of bulb HQI or mogul.
