Not to turn this into a shop and sell, but I have two of them that I will never use. I wasnt thinking of selling them but if they could be of some use to somebody please feel free to send me a msg.
Hi Lilise. Received your PM but thought it might be good to answer it in this thread.
To summarize the question... will 2 large Lumenarcs with a light mover light a 120 long tank?
I'll guess that the 120 is inches and not gallons.
My tank was only 48 inches long. The light mover did work well on that tank. The mover had a feature that allowed for a brief pause at each end before it changed directions. That gave the ends more equal light.
If I remember correctly the mover only needed to move about 12 inches total to supply the tank with good light end to end. However I did have corals that preferred less light towards one end. With your 120 inch long tank you will asking each Lumenarc to cover 60 inches and not 48. If your plan is to keep all high light corals you may have some problems at the ends. I've never been a par is king follower though and think that many of the corals can do well with less light if the other conditions are right. If accelerated growth is the main goal that may not hold true.
