I am going to grab a MH for my tank.

What Bulb Temp do you feel is best for the Anemone?

I am not concerned with how good the Anemone will look, just want bulb is best for the anemone's health.

Thanks for your opinions!!

I f you want to woory about health 250 watt or 400 watt 14 k should do most anemones fine. But it all depends on the size of your tank, They love light!!!!!

If you don't care how it looks, a 10K bulb is going to give you more PAR than a 14K or 20K bulb.

If you are planning to keep tricky anemones like S. gigantea or H. magnifica, I would go with 10K. If you are going to use a 400 watt bulb it doesn't really matter. It starts to matter some with a 250 watt. IMO, it matters a lot with 150 or 175 watt bulbs.

Would 2 150 14k 10 inchs above the water wouldthat be plenty for gbtas in a 20L.( sorry for hijacking your thread).

That would be more than plenty.

Oh - - - Go Aztecs!!!!! LoL

Took me a few minutes to get the reference. :D
Although I live in Yorba Linda, I don't teach at the local high school. :)

I have also heard that 10k, 12k, 14k are the better temps if you have the proper wattage. I would suggest not to get 400 HQI so much. I have 2 PFO 400HQIs over my 90 and my nems stay in the shade. My SPS are extremely happy and I see lots of growth on them but my LPS/Anemones hate the intensity. Many people have good luck with mogul based 400w fixtures. It would be nice for me to be able to raise my fixtures more, but any higher and it will be daylight in my living room until 9pm. I am moving on to the Solaris fixture.
