Lighting a tank.

Quick and easy question.

For a 200cm * 60cm * 60cm (78 * 23 * 23 inches) would 3x 400w HQI be too much? Thinking about the Lumenarc Wide reflectors and CoralVue Ballast. Want to use 12000 kelvin ReefLux in them.

Sounds like a little too much for me because your tank isn't that deep. But if you want to mount them higher and get some nice spread, I'm sure it would work.

But if you could go with three 250 watts, it will save you the hassle of some heat and some electricity as well.

How about the Ecoxotic Cannon LEDs ?

2x Blue & 2x White and 8x39w T5HO?

That sounds like a way better option. I'm more of a LED and T5 fan myself.
