Lighting and a T. Squamosa

Hello,
I have a 55G (48X13X20) with a 384W PC fixture. The lighting is two 96W 6,700K daylight bulbs and two 96W actinic bulbs. The fixture is directly on top of the tank. Will this be enough light for a Squamosa? Will any other species of clam do well under this lighting?
Thanks,
Peter

A Tridacna squamosa would do very well under your lighting, as would a maxima or a crocea. The only clam I advise that you stay away from is the Tridacna derasa. They get very big, too big for your tank. If you get a Maxima or Crocea, be sure to place them on the rockwork. Tridacna squamosa would be fine on the bottom of the tank. Hope this helps[/i].

Phil~
