hey guys, i just replaced my PC 130w light a 380W MH and PC light. Would this cause an excesive alge bloom?? Cause I am having one heck of one ever since i changed the lights. Also I have a 30g thak that is 30" long by 12" wide, and my rocks are in the middle with space infront and behond the rocks, I have 2 coralife powerheads and was wanudering where i should put them?

for sure on the algae bloom! It's been known to happen simply by getting new bulbs... that big of a jump would for sure do it!
Cut back your daylight hours or do the whole sheets of plastic thing ( or both) to acclimate the tank. Be real real careful you don't bleach the heck out of your current corals!

+ 1 on the lighting advice.
I'd place the powerheads at opposite ends of the tank, either on the side glass or on the back glass in the far right and left corners. Point them at an angle toward the front middle glass and angled up so they are creating visible movement of the water's surface.
