Hi i have T5 lighting for my 55g, 216 watts but this morning it seems to shock me when i touched the water so i removed it from doing harm from my aquarium, firstly im wondering if you guys / girls have any suggestions on where to look for the leaky circuit or short (btw the moonlights that are built in are all out) one of them was flickering the night before but even with the moonlights unplugged it still shocked. I would like to try to fix my T5 lighting because i really like it. Secondly im using a basic 30 watt lighting because i have nothing else , how long can my corals last with this? a day? or weeks etc if i need more lighting for me to purchase with shipping etc. i have tons of zoa. xenia, a frogspawn, ricordrea, trumpet corals and numerous growing frags. Thanks for the help/

Maybe your shocking in the water come from pump and heater not the light, unplug one by one to verify which one is leak out the electric?

Sounds more like something actually in the water causing the shock. Your lighting should not leak voltage to the water unless you had one hand on the fixture and one in the water. In either case the lighting could be acting like a ground if the housing is metal.
