I'm going to be putting Chaeto into my fuge and I was just wondering what light cycle everyone uses to light their fuge?

24hrs?
Same as tank lights?
oppositte of tank lights?

Thanks

I run mine 24/7 If you don't do that run it reverse of the main tank lights to avoid PH swings.

I use exactly the same light as Castlerock, run mine on an opposite cycle with main tank, and I have a huge, flourishing wad of Chaeto. By doing alternate lighting, it keeps pH consistent.

24/7. I have a 40 Breeder display and use an 18G rubbermaid type sump. I only have about 12G of water in the sump. I use a Lights Of America Bulb from Walmart with an aluminum reflector from Walmart. Total was like $15 and my Chateo grows very well.

Same here.

I found that running 24/7 was giving too much light and I was getting some nuisance algae growing. With the reverse lighting it was enough for the chaeto, but not too much.
