Lighting Emergency Help!

Hi Everyone,

I am in desperate need of some help. I have been using a Chinese made LED fixture on my tank for the last 9 months and just a few days ago about 1/2 of the leds on the fixture just started not working.

I was hoping someone out there would have some sort of lighting fixture I could borrow for a month or so while I save up some $$ to get a new LED fixture to replace the one that just went bad. I really love my LEDs just have to go with a more reputable brand. Here is a little about my tank.

I have a mostly LPS dominated 120 gallon tank with a few SPS and soft corals. The tank has a working 2x54 watt fixture that has a coral plus bulb and a purple figi bulb.

Thanks,
Mike

What LED fixture do you have? Is it the LED's that went bad or the driver failure? Depending on what unit you have. I have an extra driver. It's from a Taotronics 120w.

Its was made by a company called sunbright, from what I can tell one of the regulators in the fixture went bad. I have an extra ballast that I tried, and both had the same issue. Seems the problem is something in the light itself and not the ballast itself

Yea thank you anyway for your offer, looks like I need to learn the hard way to buy from reputable companies...

Knock on wood my unit has given me absolutely no problems at all. I would suggest the unit.
Sorry that you are having trouble. Hope it all works out for you.

I also have a Retro M80 Ballast that i used for in a pinch situations... i just need to find the reflector(with bulb) so you can use it. But Chris is offering the same im sure, hopefully he is closer.... if its needed to keep corals alive i guess anything will do?

If I had the hanging kit for it I would let you borrow the radion that I have for my traveling show tank but unfortunately the hanging kit is a Christmas present. Good luck

I have a 2x150w 4' halide setup you can borrow if you need it. It also has 2x48" CF, but the bulbs are missing.
