Lighting for Fluval Edge 6g

So, looking all over this forum and a few others, it seems like there have been multiple methods for people to rig up better lighting on their edge. I have seen people do their own custom wired cree leds, or other led kits, a 50/50 pc attached to the light bar, replacing the mr11s with mr11 leds, or even mr16 led retrofit.

I am curious what recommendations people would have for someone who has 0 soldering experience? Thats not to say I'm opposed to learning, but I will have to go buy a soldering kit in addition to whatever led kit I would have to get to retrofit. Im decently "techy" in terms of computer hardware, I just have never actually soldered.

I've also been looking at either just replacing the stock mr11 halogens with two mr11 leds (these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002L2AIIE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=A325274ZEF9XYZ) or converting the bar to mr16 and getting some higher output leds. In addition, I could maybe run 4-5 of the TrueLumen led strips (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XXEBRO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER and http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XXAM3G/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER) as a moonlight and just general supplementation. Does anyone have experience with the truelumen led strips? Would mr11s or mr16s with 5 or so of those led strips be enough to grow maybe the easier sps and most lps? This setup would cost me $75-$100.

Offcourse I have also been thinking about just going with the Ultrabrite 9w system (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fluval-Edge...934?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c28a41fa6) but I'm not sure if it would be worth the money, and if the 9w would even be enough for sps.

Thank you in advance!

I went with the 18 watt Ultrabrite dimmable version for my 12 gallon EDGE. I'm pretty early in to give you a definite answer on it, but so far I am happy with it and the coral I have in seem happy as well. These include:
green short tentacled plate
meteor shower cyphastrea (was in my main display under 400watt 20k radiums and was just not happy no matter where I had it, polyps remained colored, but flesh was bleached out.) Since it's been in the EDGE it's getting it's color back.
purple tip frogspawn
gold eye leptastrea
Zooanthids (blue morph and green and pink morph)
aussie acan
I will be adding a few SPS pieces in the upper parts of the tank (next week actually), so I will have a good idea on how well this light actually is. The softies and LPS have passed the test, although not as light demanding, so on with some SPS. GL
