Lighting for inline Frag Tank, Use same color bulbs as display?

Setting up a 20g frag tank that will be gravity fed from my display and drain into the main sump. For the display tank I run a 6x39w T5 with the following bulbs (front to back)
blue +
KZ fiji Purple
Aquablu Special
blue +
blue+
blue +

My frag tank will have a 4 bulb Tek T5 light. Yes, growth is ideal in a frag tank, but many of these frags will end up going into my main display also. If I went solely for growth lighting, then transferred into my display would the light color change shock them?

Or, should I go with pretty much the same color as my display tank?

Any suggestions on which bulbs to choose since I only have 4 instead of 6 to work with for any of the above questions?

Thanks again!

So no thoughts yet on a different bulb combo, versus a more similar one to the display?

Should I be trying to get a spectrum for just growth or the least difference in spectrum to the display?

I see many tanks using different bulbs even different lighting altogether on their frag tanks. If you want faster growth in the frag tank as most do go for a more 12-14k spectrum. Even a 150 or 175 14k MH would work great for a frag tank.

Lower K for growth, higher K for the color pop. The plan for my frag system is going to be two stage. First stage 6.5k till the frags are sized for the main display, then move to 20k for a month or so before I move to the main display.

I think the old saying of lower K higher growth is a bit dated... With the advancements in bulb technology, you often have equal if not greater PAR with higher K bulbs as with lower... This was not the case in the past with MH's... You can get good color and excellent growth with a bluer spectrum now than you could a few years ago... So I would look more at which brand of bulb and the fixture you are using as opposed to a specific K... JMO, take it for what it is worth to you... ;)

Well like I mentioned, it is a Tek 4x24w fixture.

Any ideas on bulb combos for different things? My current display combo is listed above, but I am fairly new to the T5 bulb so I am not sure which bulbs are better for what. I was recommended my current display combo and just went with it.

Thanks people!
