Lighting for mangrove/frag tank?

My main display tank will have radions.
But in my fishroom I'm looking for lighting to hang over my 50g rubbermaid stock tank that will be a combination mangrove and frag tank. Mangroves on one side, frags on the other. I'm looking for a more inexpensive solution, both in terms of initial cost and ongoing running costs (electricity and bulbs).
Also wondering if I should do two separate lights, like maybe just a 6500 watt bulb over the mangroves and then more typical reef lighting over the frags?
Also, heat is a factor since my fish room is in the garage.
What would you do???

K, cool. Being regular plants, i wasn't sure.

Are there any commercially available inexpensive led lights that would be worthwhile for a frag tank? Would that be better (for my situation) than something like a t5 light?

What frags? Tubastrea don't need any light. Most softies and many LPS/SPS will do fine with T5. Inexpensive is relative. Used is cheaper.

Try looking at the chinese led thread. You can get some of the TaoTronic lights with a dimmer for $175. They seem to be getting great reviews and that would do great for a frag tank, imo.

Everything

Inexpensive is relative.
Cheaper than the radions that are over my display tanks!

Used is cheaper.
Agreed.
