Hi all. I am in the process of setting up a 60-gallon reef/mangrove swamp aquarium. I plan on having 3-4 mangroves living inside the system. I also plan on having some sps corals. My only problem is trying to figure out a way to light the mangroves AND make sure the corals get enough light. I don't want the mangroves to touch the lighting, as Im sure that is not very good for them. Money is also a consideration. I can't affored 400W lighting for this system so that the pendants can be suspended high enough from the surface of the water. Does anyone have any suggestions??? I am really at a lost here.

IMHO u will need MH's for the SPS . . . but this is over-lighting for the mangroves. A grow-light 2 feet above the mangroves is sufficient.
