lighting for squamosa and derasa

i am interested in keeping some of each if i can.i have 260 W. pc lights right now but realize that i am most likely going to have to upgrade, but how much upgrading do i have to do? how many watts? what type of bulb, t5's, i am on a tight budjet so i am trying to not go over 100 $

you will need halides as they grow!!

But you can successfully keep them under your current lighting. They will of course do better under MH. Also when you consider a lighting upgrade think about what your next step is on tanks....

I have both and I am keeping them under 4 65 watt PC's. They are doing just fine. I know there color would be better under MH though

I am keeping a squamosa under 2 X 250MH. I have only had the clam for a few weeks but is looking better than it was at the store. I am not running any actinics yet but plan to do so in the near future. It is thriving with the MH lighting.
