Lighting fuge from side?

Is this ok? I bought a light: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U9128XC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1for my fuge (almost done setting up 180g), but don't have a good method of setting the light up above, but could find solutions from the side of the glass tank, would this still work?

side lighting works.. just clean the algae that will probably grow on the glass....

BE CAREFUL of those lights.. they have caused fires..
I'd trash them and get something else.. Just a cfl floodlightbulb and clip on fixture from the local hardware store works great..
