I've got a 65 gallon reef with a fuge only sump (27g sump w 20g fuge section). No skimmer, no carbon, just fuge. I got 3 mangroves around a month ago and I've seen great development of them so far. I do light my fuge 24/7 and have 2 - 24" T5 HO 65k bulbs lighting it.
I'm happy with my mangrove growth BUT i'm just wondering if there are any long term mangrove health issues with this? Do they NEED dark and can I give them minimum darkness (like 2-3 hours) and be fine?
I've done lots of research on mangroves but never found any info about 24/7 light...
