Hahaha thanks. I just threw the rock in there but I have an idea of what I want so I threw them near where they will be

At first, I thought you were going BB and high flow with SPS. But you put the sand in there, and I'm now thinking it's more of a lagoon mixed reef. LOL. So what's your stocking plan?

You got it. Lagoon mixed reef. Taking down my waterbox and moving things into this

Ammonia is dropping

Nitrite is sky high

And I have to figure out how to keep this gunk from accumulating in the refugium. I’m thinking aqua c remora with a skimmer box. Any ideas? I’m guessing that once the refugium matures everything will be fine.

I would think some king of skimmer box should help.

Not much has happened since the last update. Since I started the cycle I’ve dosed ammonia 3 times and I’ve caused 3 bacterial blooms by over dosing bacteria and a carbon source. The 3rd bloom has just cleared and I added tisbe pods today. The macro algae has more than doubled.

Last night I put a flashlight after harvesting the phyto and found isopods in the tank. WE HAVE LIFE IN THE TANK! I’m going to try to catch some isopods and see if I can get a culture going.
