Lighting my new 125

I currently have a retro 175w MH on my 54 corner and with the new 125g Im not sure which route I should go.
I was thinking about getting another 175 MH and then getting some actinics to go along with that, but Im not sure if that will be enough. Maybe I should part with the 175 and get some 250's instead? Im not sure the 175's will be enough to penetrate the bottom of the tank.
I do not plan on keep any advanced corals anywhere in the near future so what would everyone recommend?
Any links to some good retro kits would be great!
Thanks again!

How deep is your tank. I had a 100 gallon tank, 24" deep with 175w MH's and as long as you keep low light corals low, and everything else up high, it worked.

That said, I liked my 250's much better.

The tank is 5' long. I might just sell the 175 and buy a retro 250 setup. What would be the best for supplimental lighting?

Plan for the FAR future!! You'll save money by buying your lights once.

I have two 72" VHO's split 50/50 10,000K producing a total of 250 watts. I also have 2 x 175's MH's. That's enough light for me.

I'm in the process of setting up a 120gal that is 5'. And I'm having a hard time finding what I want (that is in my price range) also!! I don't want to have to buy lights more than once - so this is a difficult decision - especially when you have never kept any corals at all - I'm not sure of what I'm going to really enjoy keeping. So I will keep an eye on this thread out of personal interest. Good luck on your choice - there is not a lot of 5' fixtures to buy right off the shelf!!
