lighting over live rock

I have two 10 gallon sumps under my 55 gal DT. The first sump is filled with live rock under a filter tray. Do I need to have UV lighting for the live rock? The second sump has a refugium with its own light.

I would not light the rock.

uv lighting???? if you dont have chaeto then there really isnt a need for light. if you have chaeto use a 6500k

i would go to home depot and get two cheap clamp lights , some 13 watt 6500k cf bulbs and light it the opposite of your display (at night)... this will help your levels hold steady when the big lights go out -
