Lighting Question

I currently have a swing arm 150W MH over my 37g mixed reef. Could I replace it with 4 30" Coralife T5 aquarium lights. Each light is 40watts and has 2 10000k bulbs. I really want to be able to put some actinic over this tank and the MH just doesnt light both sides because its a swing arm. I just wanted to know if this would be an upgrade or downgrade and if I could keep sps, clams etc with these lights

If the fixture has individual reflectors and you upgrade the bulbs you should be able to keep quite a bit of what you wanting depending on how deep the tank is.

i think if you went with 4 t5s you,ll be alright with your sps.

another possible route would be to do some kind of retrofit to add a couple actics (one in front and one in back) kinda like some of the mh fixtures you see. just depends on how much space you have to work with. t5 reflectors are only about 2"wide.
