Lighting Question

I just upgraded my lighting from being at a 1.5 watts per gallon to 2.5 watts per gallon. I'm just wondering if this will cause problems for any of my corals expecially my LPS as I just started getting into them. What I'm conserned about is my plate, duncan, and acans. They are either on the sand bed or on a low rock. Its a 135 gal w/ 6 bulb T5 fixture with 1/2 10k and half atinic. Just seeing if I should put them in a corner with some mesh to help block some of the light or if they will be fine if not better with the lights.

Watts per gallon is not a good way to judge how much light is going into your tank. How deep is your tank? I think acclimateing your corals to your new light is always a good idea better safe than sorry also what were your old lights?

You could throw a couple of sheets of screen over the tank and slowly remove them to help the whole tank acclimate. At the least you should decrease the light period and slowly ramp it back up. If you are noticing any one coral struggling to adapt then yes move it lower maybe into a shaded area.
