Lighting question

Yes, shouldn't be a problem. You might want to put them under the bulbs. I have 2x65 pc's but my surface area is only 24"x8.5"

I have a 29 with 2x65 and I just don't get the color out of the zoos in that tank as I do in my other tank with high output (HO) T-5s. If you haven't purchased the light yet, I would suggest getting T-5s (If I had it to do over, that is what I would do). If it is in the budget, go with 4bulbs as this will allow you to keep most anything SPS,LPS, etc. if you want to later.

I've never used T5 but if they are as good as everyone claims then the small price increase versus pc is worth it.

What is the best combination for Color and growth on T5? 10k, or 12k. I am going to replace 4 T5 HO light bulbs.

Thanks

Dennis

go with a 50/50 combo of the 10K with Actinics. 12Ks will work too but be a tad bit more blue. Some people like more blue but I find it tends to reduce color contrast and wash things out a bit.

I would recommend t5's or a metal halide. The halide would be a bit over the top for just zoos, but you could get some ridiculous growth and color! My friend has a 2x24 t5 (actinic and 10k) on his 20g and doesn't get close to the pop of colors i do with my 150w hqi w/ a 14k on my 40g. Also with zoos you would probably be fine with just 2 bulbs, but 4 would be better and allow for other corals you will probably end up wanting 1month after you get zoo's. Good luck with your decision, I know lighting was probably my hardest decision on my first tank.
