Lighting Questions

I am looking for some advice. I have a 75gl that is approx. 2 ft tall. I have a 150 MH pendant right about the water. Now i know that this is not really enough so I am thinking of getting another. I have found a good deal on one but I have also found a 175 hat is a little more. My question is; is the 15 wats really worth the extra cheese ? Is there a way to tell how much wattage you should have for how many inches you do have? IM not looking to grow anything exotic. Just some polyps and anemones and such.

Most anemones have the same light demands as Acropora. Most anemones are also sand dwelling, so would need to be placed on the bottom. A good exception would be the BTAs, that also aren't as light demanding. 250 watt would be much better for that depth IMO. A good T5HO fixture would also be a good choice.

Agreed with 250watt. If you plan on keeping anything requiring intense light like anemones, you will need to keep them higher in your tank. 150watt is good up to roughly 18", 250watt is roughly 18-28", 400 is good for roughly 36"+. A 175 won't be enough of a differance than 150, and it's 25 extra watts :)
