Lighting requirement for Maxima clam?

that inexpensive light might not be enough for a clam. LED wise AI primes are amazing. Kassil wise, a sky blue kessil a150w would be nice; although you lose your nighttime blue look.
There are other kessils that are great; they're costly but they're great and can provide for any clam, they can grow anything and not fry up stuff in your tank

hope this helps, cheers

Your LFS is most likely right. That PAR 38 bulb has 12 leds and is only 19 watts. But then you do have a shallow tank, so I say the LFS is probably right.

But you don't need to get an expensive led fixture. There are a couple of Chinese fixtures for sale on Ebay that will provide way more than enough light and should only cost around $80 or less. MarsAqua is one brand that would work great over your shallow tank.
