Currently have ATI sunpower over our 75gal and looking to change to LED so can cut down the overall heat and hopefully loose the chiller. Have a little bit of everything in our tank sps, softies. We only have 9 inches from the top of the tank to the bottom of the canopy so I'm thinking will have to be 2 fixtures and we do not have a controller so would like to find something that either has built in control or an affordable contoller. Would
Like to spend no more than 700. All suggestions appreciated

I'm assuming your tank is only 4 feet long?

Maxspect 320W is $900 so a little outside of your price range but I think you should consider it.

Two Kessil A360we for $800 is another good choice.

One Reefbreeders Photon 48 for $500 is a good choice, budget-conscious but not as good as the others.

OceanRevive are also not too bad, again not as good as the first two. You would probably need 3 of the 120W units arranged front-to-back, total $600. One 240W for $500 won't be enough.

+1 on the Max Spec. 320 watt. 15000k LED razor. They are 44" in length. If you use the legs that it comes with it ,then it will fit across an aquarium that is 48" in length,no problem. You would only need one. These cost $1100.00 in Canada. Not sure what country you are from. The fixture is 6 inch high when using the legs.

Here is another lighting suggestion.....if you are a resident of the USA,why not buy the Max Spec. for $900 retail, then sell it to a Canadian and make a few hundred bucks?

I just checked out the maxspect 320 and I definitely like that option but a little concerned that it says should have 6'' of space for heat dissipation. to meet that requirement fixture would be 2'' or less off the water and I don't think that close would be a good idea. would have to put closer and add fans to move air across the fixture. thanks for the input
