Lighting upgrade - acclimation schedule?

Currently I have SPS in my 72 gallon bowfront with 260 watts of PCs over them (half are dual actinic and half are 10K)

I am upgrading all into a 125 tall with a pre-existing light setup of two 400watt 20K XMs and two 140watt super actinic VHOs.

As that is significantly more light I completely understand my corals will need an acclimation period...

What would you all suggest for the lighting acclimation schedule? Start w/ an hour of light per day and each week bump it up by half an hour or is there a more ideal way?

I know some of you here have done upgrades in lighting... any help would be appreciated... -or- if you had problems during your acclimation I'd also be interested to know what NOT to do.

:D

Buy some egg crate from Lowe's or HD and place it over the opening of your tank. Then buy 3-4 layers of screen that you would use for a screen door. Once you have done this, place the layers of screen on top of the egg crate and remove a layer of screen every 5-7 days. I did this and did not lose any corals to bleaching or anything for that matter. good luck
