what is the most time you keep your lights on and what is the least amount of time you have kept sps under? does anyone ever skip a day and keep the tank dark ..if so what if any benefit would there be?

I run halides 6hrs a day with actinic an hour before and after. I feel that the actinic before and after makes any difference I just like to see the tank under actinic. I have never tried less than 6hrs a day MH but I have tried 7,8,9 for a few months each and could not tell a difference in growth.

I see I do the same vho before the mh's for the dusk to dawn effect and to get the fish ready for the blinding light lol..you must have one of those fancy controller units programming them to do all that fancy stuff huh must be nice..I also seen that nice $500Efflo you posted a pic of you have been holding out on me buddy very nice I want to get some tabling acros love they way they look when they grow out like big plates soo nice..take care of that nice tank..
