I have 3 Lumenarc reflectors w/ 400watt Radiums running on Galaxy ballast over my tank.

Do you guys use T5's for supplementation? If so, what bulbs are you using?

IMO, 20K radiums are probably blue enough so that you don't need to supplement anything else, I use 14K's and even that made me get rid of my vho's.

yea..I don't think you will get anymore color than under your 400W radiums. the only reason i would see having actinics for you would be a dusk/dawn effect

Yeah I was thinking about the whole dusk/dawn effect.

Does the whole dusk/dawn effect really matter? Is it beneficial to the corals or is it more for our visuals?

it is said that some fish breed according to dust dawn, but im not a breeder so i am not sure if thats true or not. I can see you using the UVL actinic whites as suppliment to bring in other colors, its not a blue actinic but instead a mix with a white light. ive seen them paired up with 20K radiums, color was nice although i dont have a picture of it as it wasnt my tank.
