Lightning questions how many?

I am looking to get a 36in or 48in tank... I'm going to do beginner coral with some fish... my questions are how many leds would I need for a 36 and a 48? I like the hydra 26 or the kessil 360.. don't want to over spend what do you guys think?

They are both supposed to cover about a 24" area max

Yeah that's my concern.. would that be enough light?

I would say probably 3 kessils for a 48 inch tank, and maybe 2 in a 36 inch, not sure about the hydras.

I have 2 G3 Radions on my 180 and debating on adding another. When I orient the lights side to side(- -) the tank is lit up with shadowing on the sides. Most people recommend one every 24 inches and set up front to back ( l l ).

I'd avoid letting any lightning getting into it, but you're going to need 2x units over a 36 and 3x over 38.

T5 would be cheaper.

You will need atleast two ai hydra 26, will work fine. But two ai hydra 52 would be best.
