lights off...it hides, lights on...it comes back out

for the past week my rbta will go completely under his rock when the lights go out. when the lights come back on, he comes right back out to the same spot everytime. before this back and forth activity he has never moved.

has anyone else seen or heard of this behavior? should i be expecting a split?

tested today at:
salt- 1.025
nitrate- 0
alk- 9
calc-400
phos- 0.01
mag 1250

Normal behavior. Mine does the same. He's huge and hasn't split yet.

hmm. i wonder what the purpose of that is? mine is pretty large as well id say 8-10" across. thanks for the reply
