Lights on or off.

Hi there, tank is cycling at moment and in midst of a bacteria bloom (cloudy). It seems to get worse if I have the lights on for a normal day cycle (8/9 hours). Just wondering what the opinions are. Should I leave the lights off, or Operate a normal say night cycle this early?

There is a leather coral in there that was given to me by guy I got tank off. It seems to be doing well( it's growing) it does come to life a bit from natural daylight. Do the good bacteria not need light?

plus 2. Ambient Room light is all you need at this point. Don't waste your lights/electricity during the cycle.

bacteria don't need light...

The coral does though..

Keep the lights on but you can reduce the schedule to 4-6 hours a day,etc...
