on my way home from school (blah) today, i picked up 5 feeder guppies from petsmart. i then added oyster eggs to my tank so that all of my corals would extend their stinger tenticles. i then put a guppy in my brain coral, bubble coral, and multiple frogspawn heads.

it was awsome to see how the corals really act in nature.

!!!!!! not for the faint hearted!!!!!!!!

--next time i will get a video of the action

Next time try some mollies. They're brackish water fish with a little better fat blend to them.

How do you like those oyster eggs and have you tried any of the golden pearls?

"Dang"? I was thinking more along the lines of "Thank God I don't have to get out the eye bleach".

But hey, if that's what floats your boat...not that there's anything wrong with that.

That's ok Matt. I will stick up for your innocence this time. We have some pretty twisted people on this board (it takes one to know one).

Where are your minds?

LMAO

I have seen these fish in Saltwater tanks living fine. I was thinking about putting some in the fuge so when they had babies they would go throught the filter and feed the tank.. Any thoughts on that?

Just slow acclimate them and they do fine. The black mollies are "supposed" to be the best for that. They are live bearers and will give little offspring for food. Jack (sirreal) had some in his display for quite awhile.

Would the mollies chow down on the pods in the fuge?

Could be eliminating one food source for another maybe?
Mollies are primarily herbivores, but they won't pass up an easy protein meal. That would be my hesitation with putting them in the fuge instead of the main tank.

Good point but I could also put them in the sump.. wouldn't really care if the babbies got sucked in the pump. The fish would still enjoy them.. :D

Black Mollies give birth regularly in my tanks and everyone enjoys the snack. One thing about mollies and anemone's...mollies are not reef fish and do not understand that the pretty anemone needs to be avoided. My S. Tapetum has eaten all my mollies at the moment except for one in the sump of the 125. It actually snagged and ate two at once. It is a hungry little thing. lol I have to acclimate some more soon but it is easy to do and they are very cheap.

How long do you acclimate them for and do you get them in the freshwater tanks?

I know that silly :p but some places carry them in brackish tanks..

I didn't know if that would make a difference when acclimating them.

Have you ever went up to the feeder goldfish fish tank with the store employee and started to ask for perticular fish in that tank which is holding 500+ fish at that time.? It's a hoot. Just keep a straight face and look at there facial expresion.
