Limestone is old coral. Be sure to condition it by a long soak in salt water, or you may have ledges with lots of green algae. You can cure it with GFO, but doing it in your tank may have some algae problems.
Been using local limestone for decades and never had a problem with it. It's usually easy to drill with a diamond bit, locally sometimes pieces may have a large amount of what looks like quartz crystal but it's only a small percentage.
