ok i have done a little searching, and found nothing..
i think something is wrong with my pbt.
now this isnt the lateral line, its below it. it is a line that almost looks like a bone running in a completely straight line from behind the eye all the way to his barb/tang knife at the tail.. its kinda hard to explain.. he also has ich which i am doing hypo to treat. he is eating well, and acting completely normal. he is actually picking on my green wolf eel, and not at all cowering at my niger trigger. he is a decent sized tang (about 6") i have never seen anyone speak of such a thing. i got him about 3 or 4 weeks ago. he looked great in the store. he is relatively fat, but not quite as fat as he was when i got him (he was fatter than i have seen previously) anybody ever heard of something like this?

here we go

It looks like he's skinny as a rail :( . He needs vitamins more food, does he have a nori clip?
Louise

he really is not.. it does kinda look like in the pic, but he is almost a half inch wide.
he eats well, and i put about a 3"x3" peice of nori in there twice a day. one before work, and one when i get home. i also feed spirinula(2 different kinds) 1 for vegetarian, and one meat. he likes the veggie one, ut goes crazy on the meaty one.. him and my trigger race for the food.

If he's 6 inches long, he shoud be wider than a half inch. Mine is 5 inches long and almost a full inch. keep offering as wide a variety as you can. The more he eats the better. I have a yellow tang that was thin as a rail when i got him. Once he met the nori clip, he doubled in width after about a month. Other than the line, you have a good looking fish.

yea he is the only one on the clip. there is only 3 fish in the tank (155 bowfront.) i got a ruler and looked.. he is not an inch, but he is more than a half. im going to try to get a pic of him from the front so you can see. he is not real fat yet, but he does'nt look skinny at all. the ones you usualy see in th store are nowhere near as meaty as he is. i bought him from the lfs not because i was looking for one. i got him because he was the best looking pbt i have seen in the store in the year or so i have been back in the hobbie. he was thick, and had the best color and skin i had seen. he acts completely normal, very active, and kinda bossy. like i said, he is the king of the tank.
what kind of ifferent stuff should i feed him? i have the nori, the 2 different spirinula foods, and fresh shrimp from the grocery store which he pretty much laves to the trigger and wolf eel.

I use grocery store nori, basically it's the same with minor differences, my tang never complained and he's a big fatty!

somehow i just dont think so.. he is eating too well, and is to thick for bomes to be sticking out. i have seen slim fish, and he is not one of them.
