I'm really interested in the Lineatus Fairy wrasse that you currently have a super sale on BUT...........
When I call to see if there were any in the 4" + range, I get the answer of no guarantees and bascially what the website states which happens to be "2.5" to 4.5".

You have some great sales but unfortunately, I need to know if a particuliar size is available due to aggression from my Yellow Streaked Fairy Wrasse.

Thanks.

hey pecan,
I hope you got that awesome supermale lineatus on divers den this morning. it was there for like 3 seconds before someone grabbed it.

That one was too rich for my blood. Going for $289!

I actually saw that guy up last night after Pat called me :D

Just wanted to mention that you currently have a pair of Lineatus Fairy Wrasses forsale under your Diver's Den section.

We have a couple of Fairy wrasse experts on this board and they all say that the pair you have forsale is actually two males :)

heuerfan,

Cirrhilabrus wrasse are sexually dimorphic and dichromatic as I'm sure you are already aware of. The Lineatus on top as you can see is definitely a male as you have identified, but the Lineatus below is well into the female stage as can be identified by the yellow tail with only a slight amount of red/pink towards the outer edge. I can see from the web site photo and angle of the fish why people would say these are both males, but the picture does not show the true beauty of the male nor the amount of yellow in the female’s tail. Also these two have been together in the small holding tanks where we house our Divers Den fish for a couple of weeks now and have shown no aggression toward one another.

Happy Reefing,

Thanks for the reply Steve. I was told that females have shorter pelvic fins. The lineatus pictured on the bottom seems to have long pelvic fins is why i was questioning the pair.
