I would suggest just using the built in webserver on the ACIII and then get AquaNotes running later.
Using the built in webserver you can program your ACIII, monitor parameters, manually control outputs, and graph your data.
When it comes right down to it you can actually do everything from the front panel of your ACIII. Programming it from the front panel would get a little tiresome, however.
Once you get the built-in webserver working getting AquaNotes up and running will be a piece of cake.
Here is my recommended sequence: (I don't have a manual at the office and at the moment I don't have time to download and refer to it some I'm going by memory - which can be dangerous. You've been warned
1) Configure primary network settings on your ACIII from its front panel. (IP address, subnet mask)
2) Connect the Linksys gaming adapter
3) Try to "ping" the ACIII from your desktop. If it doesn't respond to a ping you need to work out networking issues before you can deal with any other AquaNotes or programming issues.
In Windows click on "Start", then "Run" In the box type "cmd"
A black box with a command prompt will appear.
Type "ping" followed by the IP address of your ACIII
e.g. "ping 192.168,0.100"
Until you get the ACIII to respond this way you can't go any further
4) Try to connect with your ACIII using your web browser
Open your browser
Where you would normally put a website address (URL) just enter the IP address of the ACIII (no http, www, or anything).
It should ask you for a login and password.
If you didn't change them from the front panel you should be able to find the default values from your manual.
5) Once the web browser s working you can go to "Programming" and get to work
Between the front panel of your ACIII Pro and the web browser you'll be able to get your system up and operating.
The network can be a bit of a technical challenge but once you get it worked out you're set.
Once you've mastered that it's time for the next challenge: programming. The good news is that between the manual and especially the people on this forum you're in good shape.
