Lionfish chaos

I have a black volitain lionfish for about 10 mounts now in my tank. Lately, my lionfish has not eaten for one and a half months and counting, due to a goiter. Currently I have added iodine into the tank to help heal the goiter.
Nevertheless, one day ago, my trigger fish attacked the lion fish leaving him half-spineless with many wounds on the fins.
What should I do to help the lionfish recover?

At the bare minimum you should have a QT set up to seclude your Lionfish or it's aggressive attacker. I'd opt for getting the attacker out so you don't add additional stress to the poor fish.

Once you have them separated, you can then begin to diagnose the problems. Eating might not be as much a problem as you think, once you remove the trigger fish. The trigger senses imminent danger and is going in for the kill. It's a natural instinct. I think if you remove the trigger, half your battles will be won.

At first glance, your idea seems great! However, you should know that I have 3 trigger fish. Each trigger is 4" long. Putting them in a QT would put levels of high stress on them. In addition my lionfish is 7" in length. Therefore, putting the lion in a QT is not a good option either since that would cause his health to further worsen.

What's the possibility of taking a piece of thin plexi glass with numerous holes drilled in it (for flow) and sectioning off a part of your display for the Lionfish, just to keep yippy yappy and yahooy away from him?

Either this or maybe a larger QT.
