Have a L. swalesi and wasn't sure if I could add another species.

Yes. I had the Cave Basslet with my current Candy Basslet in the Elos tank. These guys were okay together, but I was prepared to remove one if needed. If the tank is on the larger side, IMO, you have a better chance of them getting along.

I have L. swalesii in my 40" x 24" x 24" and have seen a cave basslet that is gorgeous (don't know what the price tag is yet!). Any thoughts?

I have a pair of Liopropoma Collettei in a 120 gallons with lot of wrasse, a pair of Joculator and a regal angel. They mostly go out when the light is off. But they come to feeding, thye are a perfect example of behavior.
