Greg, I don't know exactly what's going on here, or why it is that you apparently feel a need to attack what I have said. Your tone is hostile, and I don't think that further discussion, regardless of what I have to say, is going to placate you. You seem to be fixed upon a single point, which is that I stated that the product sells well to educated hobbyists that would like a calcium reactor but cannot afford one presently. I did not register with this forum to be a Kent Marine propagandist, I simply wanted a chance to review the product for interested parties. I do appologize if my abbreviated explanation of how the product works (please re-read my first post thoroughly) was not to your liking. Again, you seem to have strong negative opinions about Kent Marine. I cannot do anything to change that.
The solution contains various ions, each interacting briefly but not forming a solid due to the presence of a substance that prevents this process from occuring with most of the materials. This substance facilitates the dissolution of an unusually-high amount of calcium salts in solution, and does so without the use of alteration of pH. Once inside the aquarium, the substance does not interact with pre-existing calcium carbonate. I did not say that we actually use calcium carbonate as an ingredient in the product, but that it exists as particulate material. This material is the result of interactions inside the bottle that are not completely prevented by the ingredients in the product.
I'm going to step back for a moment now and ask a question: of all reading this that have a negative opinion about Liquid Reactor, how many of you have personally used the product, for how long, and in what types of systems? I'd like to get an idea of the experiences that you have all actually had so I can understand where you're coming from.
I would also like to ask that this discussion remain as free of "product bashing" as possible.
