Thank you, I am soo glad to be here. I am just setting up my first predrilled tank and sump. I left my 125 in Florida in my son's garage. I have always had hob filters and this is new to me....really excited and scared to death. I am not sure exactly how the protein skimmer is to be set up. I have a aqua clear (pro clear) 150 sump with bioballs and protein skimmer.

We have several in the club that have set these up before. Most people remove the bioballs, as they tend to produce nitrates too quickly. You will want plenty of live rock or a mixture of base rock and live rock. You also want live sand or you can use dry sand and I can give you a small amount of my live sand to get it started.

It will help us if you will list everything you have to get started. Then we can make some recommendations. I'm sure David will chime in on setting up your skimmer.

Feel free to ask any questions here in the forum. Several of us check this forum every day.

Welcome Lisa. I'm not that good at describing stuff but I can tell you that once you get it going, you're gonna love it and never want to go back to undrilled setups.
