list me reasons a few sps lose P/E

Hi, everything is real nice in my 2 year old sps, good color, sick growth. But for some reason about once per month a few of my porites will close for 2-3 days. Acros, montis, seriatopora and pocci's stay "fluffy". No parasites, no fish nipping. Anyone have a personal check list to find the source of random sulking of only a few colonies among about 30?

No inverts in the tank, my hunch is chemical or organic...but what? No PO4 or NO3

I had a yellow branching porites for 3 years before I tore down my old Sps tank that did the same thing. I noticed to would produce this slime coat and everything would go back to normal. I wouldn't worry I think porites just do that.
