little help...

I have a 29 gallon reef. I have a skilter (skimer and filter in one, for up to 100 gallons). My main question is would it be way to hard and a pain to get a sump, like a 10 gallon for my tank. Would that even be worth my time and money?

Thanks,

Josh

I don't know much about the Danner skilter? But, a sump is always a good add on. It increases your gallons, and gives you the option for a fuge and skimmer. Also if you choose to keep coral in the future, it will help when you get to that stage.

jden its very easy to do, i used a ten gallon aquarium for my sump on my 29gallon. All you need is an over flow box and a return pump and some piping. I would recommend it.

Sounds good. Im not going to get a different skimmer yet, I will be putting a 125-150 gallon in my wall next year, building a home. The skilter that I have works pretty dang good. It keeps my water parameters perfect, always pulling the greenish brown crap out. Anyway...I will get a nice skimmer with the large tank. Thanks for all of your help!!!!

Make a sump/fuge from a small cheap tank, & I would get a different (better) skimmer.

I 2nd that. I just wouldn't trust anything that was a skimmer/filter.
