Little Mag and nigripes

I have had the nigripes in QT for a couple months. I just picked up the H. magnifica a couple weeks ago. The flash has washed out the tentacle color, but they are a nice tan with bright yellow tips. The base is orange-ish brown. I'm sorry I couldn't get the clown's little black bellies. They are very cute.

It is in great condition so far and so are the two larger ones still at the LFS. I take that as a very good sign that they didn't come in with any problems.

They are in a refugium about 5" under a 65 watt 6500K landscape light. It is going to be the other half of my un-scientific experiment to see if you really can maintain high light anemones under lower light conditions, if you feed them well. (I'm not convinced that you can) The little S. gigantea that I have had for 4 months is doing well under 2-65watt PC lights. Its condition is good but it hasn't shown much growth and his blue tips have faded. You can see a couple old pics of the carpet in my gallery.

i am convinced you can somewhat bring them back.. as long as they are somewhat healthy.. my H. Mag was extremely bleached and i brought it back under pc's. there was a 130 watt orbit fixture then a satellite with a single 65 watt 10K bulb dirictly under neath it grew slow but still grew under pcs..i fed almost evryday..

wheni first got it..
