Little White Bugs????

Does anyone have a clue on these? They kind of look like fleas. And they seem to be eating off of the diatom bloom. They are on the acrylic an inch or two above the sand bed. Any opinions???

i acctually was gonna start a thread on this same thing but stumbled on this one first.
i first noticed little white spots on the side of the glass. looked like very large ich but it was on the glass, not the fish. while i was looking really close at it i started to look at the water because it seems to be geting a little cloudy, and thats when i noticed my little creatures. they were more translucent than white and reminded me of very small jellyfish in the way they moved, only they had no tenticles. is there ANY small little creature than can be harmfull? any help is appreciated
