How do all the different types of chromis fair that live aquaria stocks? I'd like to get a small school but I am unsure of how they fair in aquariums. Are they like normal chromis and pick each other off over time? I'm interested in the different colored ones like agile chromis.

If you have a large tank, a group may do fine; large is not a 75 gallon tank. If you do not, in the long run, you will end up with one or two.

Thanks for the info, guess I'll have to pass on the chromis then. What's the reasoning behind having a large tank for them? What about their behavior requires a large tank?

It allows them to establish territories sufficiently large to not require removing competitors. My guess is you would need a six foot tank or even preferably larger. Also, note that chromis are highly susceptible to uronema marinum so a rigorous quarantine protocol is required.
