Live blackworms / Anyone hatching bbs?

Anyone have live blackworms or know an LFS that keeps them in stock?

Having trouble getting my mandarin to eat (ignores frozen pe mysis, cyclopeeze, nutramar ova; also seems to ignore live tisbe culture, reef nutrition live trigger pods, and reef stew)

I'm going to put her in a breeder net today and try some reef stew again. Failing that, does anyone hatch their own bbs? I'd like to snag some to try if possible.

I could give you some bbs on Friday afternoon. I only hatch it for the Reef Stew & I don't use what's left. Have you tried adult live brine shrimp? A lot of stores now sell that.

Black worms can be purchased at the Pet Shop.

Yep, but I'd call before because they don't have them in 100% of the time. My fish and LPS love them though and I try to get them whenever I know I'm going to have enough time to care for them (i.e., 100% cold water changes) every day.

You say it won't eat reef stew...which makes me wonder if it's a health issue. Reef Stew, and Bob will correct me if i'm wrong, has live baby brine, adult brine, and copepods in it which is pretty much everything a mandarin usually eats. If it won't eat that I'm worried.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone :]

@tcamos; yes, I had expected to see her hunting. There are live pods breeding in my tank (can easily see them on the glass at night, I checked at 4am this morning); I'm thinking about asking Reef Monsters if I can exchange her.

She appears to have some damage (from either netting or transport) on the top of her body where her dorsal fin should start.

Maybe they can nurse her back to health. It's just been my experience that mandarin don't respond well to stress and injury. Best of luck with her!

Talked to Jorell and they are out of mandarins but expect another shipment this week, or at the latest, next week. I'm going to put her in a breeder net and try some more stew/black worms/bbs before I bring her in though
