I'm curious if anybody has tried "white" shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) as a source for feeding pipes? Drs F&S sell them and suggest these as a starter food source.
Never tried those kind of shrimp. They seem large for a creature with such a small mouth. I'm sure their eggs and offspring would make great food though.
Ours get live and frozen mysis shrimp, copepods, cyclops-eeze and zooplankton also.
As long as they're small enough for the fish's mouth, it should be ok. Pipe's usually hunt 'pods in the wild, so just make sure you've got lots of those (or suppliment them) and you should be good
