Just started up a new 180g tank a few months ago, brand new live sand & sw. Running with G3 skimmer since day 1.
Kind of unlike me, a few weeks ago I decided to purchase a couple fish before adding live rock. I've got a large Powder Blue Tang and Blonde Naso Tang.
Now, I have this live rock that has been dry about 1 year. A couple weeks ago I decided to start washing it off, I'll admit I got busy and the rock has just been sitting in the barrell, pretty dry.
How harmful would it be to clean off the rock with freshwater and add into my tank, with fish inside? or without?

Any other suggetions are really appreciated :love1:
ALSO, lately i've noticed the powder blue isn't interested in eating, ive tried meaty frozen foods, vegetable/seaweed frozen foods, spectrum pellets, and sheets of green algae. Does this have something to do with being in a boring tank?? (no rock... friends... etc)
Like I said, not like me to add fish before rock, but I could'nt pass these up! :fish1::fish2:
THANKS :spin1:
